Well, here we go....

After a reasonably long hiatus, which I am going to call a 'well deserved break' I am going to be regularly blogging again! Today I am happy to announce that Andrew Chapman dot Net is 1 year old, and still has excellent readership and daily visitors. Thankyou to those who have stuck by, left great comments, and especially to those who still email me regularly with questions and ideas for the site.

Over the next couple of weeks I am going to be doing some analysis of Windows 7 RC and the EEE, my beloved EEE! I would like to welcome (either via comments or by email) your ideas for the site in it's shiny, happy 2nd year on the interwebs.

Here's to many, many more. Cheers.

XBOX 360 Ixtreme 1.51 Firmware Released! [DL Links] PDF Print E-mail
Written by Andrew Chapman

With Microsofts release of the new Dashboard, and other sweet features making the XBOX 360 even cooler to use, some of the newest games have a new 'wave 3' video folder/layer that previous releases of C4Eva and co's Firmwares were unable to boot. The current games affected are Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X and MLB 2K9, The main reason these Games were unable to be loaded on previous versions of IXtreme, is due to the security factors associated with making the firmware 'stealth'.

Well, C4eva has now released this new firmware, so you can now backup, and boot your own legal backups on your XBOX 360. We certainly do not condone piracy, but know full well how easy it is to scratch your game discs, meaning a very expensive replacement. Also included in the download package (below) is the new Jungle flasher, specifically for this update. I have also attached team Jungle's Flashing tutorials, some excellent PDF's of the whole process depending which drive you have, Samsung, Benq or Lite-On

So, go, and get your game on: Download complete IXtreme 1.51, Jungle Flasher and Tutorials Package Here!

DivX Playback on the Nintendo Wii PDF Print E-mail
Written by Andrew Chapman

This tutorial will teach you all you need to know about using your Nintendo Wii to play AVI Files and DVD's, using the Hombrew Channel, a new release of MPlayer Wii, and a USB drive (or DVD of course). This will work on Wii's which have the Homebrew Channel installed, which requires the Twilight Princess Hack to install (link here). This hack will allow you to access a whle bunch of new and useful software to get the most out of your Wii. You do not need a modchip installed to get this to work, the current Wii Firmware at the time of this post is 3.4u.
