 | Blizzard is looking pretty good to have some great sales this year, especially considering the two massive announcements they have made in the last couple of months. Firstly, the news of the game everyone I know asked 'will it be remade in 3D?', Starcraft II, which looks like it will be just that, a remake / re-release of Starcraft, with completely 3D rendered units and a refreshed game engine. And of course the more recent announcement of Diablo III. |
Firstly, let me focus on Starcraft 2, I was a huge, indeed a massive fan of the original, playing the campaigns, online, and often all night with friends, beer and family! The next installation of this classic looks fantastic, allow me to whet your appetite with these sweet character renders from the official fansite pack (available from starcraft2.com) Firstly on the right is the new 'Thor', which looks like a walking gun platform, or an SCV that got rocket launchers welded on.....Sweet! Hopefully this unit will be a good combination of firepower and mobility. Secondly is the 'Dark Templar', below, available for the Protoss Army. This look slike a great, neat update of an existing favourite unit of Protossusers around the globe! Mylife for Ayur....!! | The all new 'THOR' unit for the Terran Army | 'DARK TEMPLAR' - Protoss Army unit | So far, even the official website for Starcraft 2 doesn't have an official release date for this much anticipated game, however the general consensus of fans is that it will be ready for the lucrative Christmas season, we can only hope this is true!
